The Farm possesses 20 acres of land
on the bank of river Nira and in back water of Veer Dam in
village Ving & Rajewadi, Tal. Khandala, Dist. Satara. that is
fully under cultivation of crops relevant to the area. The main
purpose of the farm is to demonstrate the latest agricultural
practices. It also acts as a tool to do applied research on
hi-tech agriculture. After a careful planning and soil analysis
the farm is divided in to three major blocks of Horticulture,
Floriculture, This was followed by planting mother plants of
horticulture crops such as Mango, coconuts Strawberry , Gerbera,
Marigold etc that are mainly grown in arround. The plantation
was completed in 2007 .Similarly; agronomical crops grown are
jawar, Paddy, ground nuts and wheat. Now the entire farm is
operated on drip as well sprinkler irrigation system.
Water resource is nira river pure water which is having pH of
7.20 and conductivity of 0.06 µS/cm.
